Hanging up my pointe shoes after 25 years of ballet was both a physical and emotional challenge. I longed to reconnect with my body—but in a way that felt more compassionate and less demanding. For years, I had approached yoga as a tool for injury prevention, never realizing it would become a path to something much deeper.
As the Bhagavid Gita states, we all encounter a journey back to self, if we’re open and williing….. My journey back to self began in 2018 when I started unraveling the ways life had shaped me in patterns that no longer served me or others.
In 2023, my practice deepened as I began and later earned the RYT-200 certification at The Studio in Georgetown, KY. As of April 2025, I have launched into the RYT- 300 and C-IYAT at My Vinyasa Practice out of Austin, TX. Today, yoga is not just something I do—it’s a philosophy I live by, both on and off the mat.
You may find my practice style to be playful, encouraging, and always sprinkled with a dash of laughter. Whether we’re exploring Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Restorative or a trauma-sensitive Yoga & Recovery practice, it is my hope that we collectively experience serenity in the bluegrass, one breath at a time.
